MKC-Global Raw Material Shortages on Film and Adhesive Material Lead Times

As a result of reduced demand during the COVID pandemic, lingering supply chain disruptions and increased logistic delays owing to ship container and air transport shortages, several force majure events have culminated in a global shortage and / or increased lead times of raw materials provided by our key suppliers including Autotype (polyester), Lexan (polycarbonate), 3M (adhesive), FR4 and Kapton.

As it stands MKCs own stock and those of our suppliers and sub-contractors remain stable and we have in fact brought in additional stock, however, we must stress that the situation is changing regularly and so we urge you to review your immediate requirements.

Please note that we also work with a range of manufacturers including Reflex and Memcon who provide drop in alternative materials.

For the immediate future we do not envisage significant disruption to our ability to supply within our quoted lead times. We will be working with our suppliers to ensure our supply chain remains fluid and will be updating our customers if the situation changes.

Thanks for your continued support after what has been a difficult year for everyone.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Dan Murray
